Why is the figure “10 Euros per year” circulating – and why is it usually not true?
The 10-euro claim is not a scam, but a missing context. It is true if you generate the electricity yourself. With a photovoltaic system, your own kilowatt-hour costs only a few cents, depending on the system. If you calculate 149 kWh at €0.07, you actually end up with around 10 euros. Without solar on the roof, this figure simply does not apply.
